Equipment Maintenance Tech

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Tech. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of mechanical experience and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and extruding equipment. This position offers regular hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and a starting pay rate of $21.00 per hour.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on company equipment to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
* Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify issues or potential problems with electrical systems, pumps, valves, and other related components.
* Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment.
* Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation and make any necessary adjustments.
* Follow safety protocols and procedures to always maintain a safe working environment.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and hours worked.
* Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
* Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks effectively.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1 year of mechanical experience, preferably in a maintenance or repair role.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Proficiency in using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
* Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* A willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
* Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
* Must maintain a good attendance record.
