Job Summary/Purpose: To assist in the provision of safety and protection for students by monitoring and communicating campus activity to the administration and/or School Resource Officer(s).
Education: Minimum 60 college hours; must maintain substitute certificate.
Knowledge/Skills: Candidates must have knowledge of human behavior; child/adolescent development; oral and written communication skills; conflict resolution; ability to work effectively with students; follow written and verbal instructions.
Experience: Must be 21 years old; experience working with children preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring and promoting overall school safety.
Monitors hallways and surrounding school premises.
Monitor and report student behavior and student conduct in relation to the Student Code of Conduct.
Report conflicts or confrontation between students to administration.
Check for student hall passes and tardy slips.
Assist in ensuring that students and visitors are following school procedures.
Maintain effective communication via two-way radio system in an emergency.
Contribute to a positive working environment for students, staff and visitors.
Provides additional support and assistance to all staff members.
Salary: $16.38/hr
Hours: 6:50am-2:50pm
