We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team At VCA Durant Road Animal Hospital & Pet Resort, we focus on creating a supportive and collaborative environment for our team members, as well as providing excellent service for our clients and their pet. We are looking for someone that brings a warm and bubbly personality to our environment and loves working with our clientele and their well-loved pets.

We are an AAHA accredited practice in North Raleigh with 3 doctors and a large Pet Resort that offers boarding for both cats and dogs. We also have grooming and spa services available for our canine friends

The Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for many tasks listed below.

* Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms after obtaining a current weight.
* Scheduling and confirming medical appointments and procedures, boarding reservations, grooming appointments and more.
* Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
* Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
* Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
* Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
* Managing medical records, charts, reports, correspondence and prescription requested digitally.
* Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times-both inside and outside.
* Handling pets dropped off for daycare, boarding and grooming

Our hospital is open Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 6:00PM and Saturday 7:30AM - 2:00PM. The hospital is closed on Sunday, but the Pet Resort is open for boarding pick-ups from 3:00PM - 4:00PM. Our Pet Resort staff tends to the clients during that time on Sundays. We are currently looking for a full-time associate who would be working 4-day workweeks with a rotating schedule for Saturdays. Customer service or animal care/veterinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person

Our pay rate starts at $15.00/hr and is based on experience and credentials.
