About the Team

A Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) is coming to Wasilla Alaska Behavioral Health is proud that we can provide this much-needed service to individuals living in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. The range of services provided at the CCBHC include crisis services; treatment planning; screening, assessment, diagnosis, and risk assessment; outpatient mental health and substance use services; targeted case management; outpatient primary care screening and monitoring; community-based mental health care for veterans; peer, family support and counselor services; and psychiatric rehabilitation services. Populations served include children, families, transition-age youth, adults, and military veterans.

What You'll Do
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for assigned clients.
  • Evaluate crisis situations promptly and provide necessary services.
  • Provide community-based services to adults experiencing mental illness.
  • Provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, parents, and families.
  • Provide clinical licensing supervision to qualified master's level staff.
  • Provide clinical oversight for non-master degreed staff.
  • Work on a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment planning, psychosocial skills training, individual and group therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and other services driven client need.

  • Full-Time, Exempt
  • Pay Range is $85,637 to $110,828.
  • Senior Licensed Clinicians are eligible for a $10,000 hiring bonus, which requires a two-year employment commitment.
  • May qualify for tuition loan assistance under Public Service Loan Forgiveness, National Health Service Corps, or Alaska SHARP programs.
  • AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children, 401k - Administered through Fidelity; Automatic Pre-Tax Enrollment of 4% with annual increases of 1% to a maximum of 10%; Automatic employer contribution of 3%; Employer Match of 100% up to 5% of contributions. Three (3) weeks of PTO for the first year, and six (6) weeks of PTO after the first year, and 10 paid holidays.

What We Need from You
  • You have a Master's in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field;
  • You have an Alaska license as Social Worker, Psychologist, Psychological Associate, or Professional Counselor;
  • You have the ability to become a licensed supervisor in the state of Alaska; and
  • You have six months of post-graduate supervised experience with any of the populations listed above.
