Electronics Test Technician

Description:

Actalent is currently hiring for an Electronics Test Technician to support an engineering team in diagnosing failed boards as they are installed in our client's products. This person will not solder or rework boards, but will use tools such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, then send the boards to a rework technician. This person will take information on why failures are occurring and bring them to the engineering team for debrief and adjusting manufacturing processes.

This Technician will be working on a variety of products including RF, Signal Sources, Oscilloscopes and Probes. They will support Product Tests, Module and Board Testing, and complete product testing using process documentation.

Skills & Experience Required:

* 2 year Associates degree, military training in electronics or 3 to 5 years of experience working as an electronic technician without degree
* Needs to have a deep understanding of electronics/electrical theory as well as hands on experience reading electrical schematics at the component level
* Experience with component level troubleshooting and circuit analysis, and using a variety of tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, various meters, test equipment, etc.
* Computer Skills: Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, MRP systems and basic test systems
* Good problem solving skills
* Learns quickly, with a focus on quality and following processes
* Excellent team skills, gets along well with others, highly dependable, leadership potential
