ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.
ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic Washington combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.
Position Summary
As a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), you will:
* Prepare patient specimens as required for laboratory testing
* Perform laboratory tests and monitor test results to assure test quality and validity
* Communicate results in a timely manner, especially those that may be life threatening to the patient
* Maintain properly documented records of activities
* Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and environment
* Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
* High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or education (Specify: Medical Laboratory Technician)
* Less than 1 year of experience
* ASCP or equivalent certification desirable
Other Information
* 20 hours a week
* Primary Weekends
* Sat and Sun (8am - 2pm) and 1 shift during week (8am - 5pm)
