Responsible for evaluating, recommending, educating and administering selected Respiratory Care to all patients requiring treatment.

**Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:**

AAS Degree in Respiratory Care, New York State Respiratory Therapist License upon hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) - required within 90 days from hire. Ped Adv Life Sp (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 6 months. Neona Resus Prog (NRP) required. (OCH Only) OCH - For those Respiratory Therapists hired on or before 01/01/2019, they will have until 09/01/2019 to obtain PALS & ACLS and must remain current. All new hires or transfers after 01/01/2019, must obtain and remain current PALS & ACLS within six (6) months from date or hire or transfer. OCH cost centers 10122 and 10031 - RTs hired on or before 1/26/2021 will have until 10/31/2021 to obtain NRP and must remain current. All new hires/transfers after 1/26/2021 must obtain NRP within nine (9) months of date of hire/transfer and must remain current.

**For clinical positions, other than Registered Nurse and nursing support positions, internal applicants must have been employed in the same job title as the per diem position for which they are applying or in a comparable area of practice. Internal and External applicants must have a minimum of nine (9) continuous months of comparable work experience within two (2) years of the time the per diem job is posted. All applicants will be required to satisfy all orientation/probationary requirements.**
