Assistant Professor, Coordinator of BSN

The coordinator/faculty ensures the management and quality of the BSN Nursing Program, as well as fulfills teaching responsibilities.

1. Administers the undergraduate BSN Program including the traditional and second-degree programs.

2. Develop, implement, and evaluate courses and curriculum for the BSN Program to meet professional standards with the BSN team.

3. Assists the School of Nursing Associate Dean with:

a.  Hiring full-time and adjunct faculty.

b. Developing course assignments.

c.  Assuring the quality of clinical and didactic instruction.

4. Assures adjunct faculty have access to the necessary tools (e.g. textbooks, syllabi, ATI) needed to promote quality instruction.

5. Develops class and clinical schedules for each cohort in collaboration with the Associate Dean and Clinical and Project Coordinator.

7. Abides by the standards and professional expectations defined in the School of Nursing Faculty/Staff Manual and the BSN Student Handbook.

8. Coordinates with the Director of the Nursing Resource and Simulation Lab as well as the Clinical and Project Coordinator on issues related to simulation, lab, and clinical.

9. Serves on School of Nursing Committees as assigned.

10. Actively participates in recruitment and retention of BSN students.

11. Participates in and supports the accreditation process including PA State Board of Nursing and CCNE.

12. Represents the School of Nursing and Eastern University at professional meetings and ceremonies.

13. Embodies the values of caring and compassion, justice and integrity, competence, and affirmation.

14. Seeks to treat each member of the campus community with fairness, dignity, and respect, seeking a spirit of unity and harmony as we join together to achieve our common mission.

15. All other duties not otherwise assigned

* Master of Science in Nursing is required, Doctorate in Nursing or related field preferred.


* Unencumbered Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse.


* Professional nursing experience within 5 years.


* Academic and clinical experience in nursing education.


* Experience with curriculum development and revision
* Experience in Nursing education accreditation
* Previous Academic Leadership experience

       5. Understanding of and support for the University's evangelical Christian mission.
