About the role

Position Description:

CDL drivers perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous waste between Reworld facilities and the Client's sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to operate a variety of equipment including vacuum tankers, vacuum trucks, vans, trailers and roll-off trailers. The CDL Driver is required to have a good motor vehicle record and must operate all motor vehicles in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.
  • Drive commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations.
  • Ensure placarding of vehicle meets DOT regulations.
  • Maintain paperwork including expense reports, time sheets, vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and job sheets.
  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.
  • Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
  • Complete additional assigned duties.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred.
  • Reworld offers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
  • Must be 21 years or older, due to interstate travel in a commercial vehicle and federal regulations.
  • Minimum 5 years commercial driving experience.
  • CDL Class A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to use a tablet for E-Logs.
  • Abide by standard DOT regulations at all times.
