GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
To perform and/or assist physician with all ultrasound procedures done in the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Maintains utmost level of confidentiality at all times.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates business practices and personal actions that are ethical and adhere to corporate compliance and integrity guidelines.
• Performs and assists physicians with all testing.
• Prepares an accurate preliminary report for the physician.
• Maintains an adequate level of supplies in the department.
• Assures that the equipment is in good working order.
• Communicates with appropriate personnel regarding department and exams done.
• Assists the physician, as needed.
• Participates in departmental and hospital wide Process Improvement
• Ensures that generic/unit safety measures are met in the department.
• Travels to out of town clinics as needed.
• Rotates 24 hour on call duties.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
• Registry in Sonography (ARDMS or RCVT) or Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school • One year allowance to obtain registry
• Registered Echo Tech (ARDMS or CCI) or Registry eligible
• BLS (AHA)
