Clinical Pharmacist

*This position is intended for CRMC-Belmont but you will remain in your current position until confirmed by manager of an appropriate date to allow for adequate orientation/training.## Job Summary:# #Performs a wide variety of clinical and distributive duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the organization and its patients. Provides medication-related information to physicians, staff, and community. #Serves as a liaison to all patient care areas with responsibility for outcomes including patient satisfaction and quality measures. Mentors and educates pharmacy staff, residents, and students in area(s) of practice.# Coordinates delivery of pharmaceutical care within CaroMont Regional Medical Center Belmont by serving as the subject matter expert for order sets, patient care protocols, policy development / revision, and multidisciplinary rounds. Responds at patient bedside to selected medical emergencies throughout the facility to support pharmacotherapeutic selections and facilitate the prompt delivery of medication related patient care. Qualifications:# #Bachelor#s degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized college or university required; 2 years pharmacist experience or completion of an accredited PGY1 residency program preferred; 6 months clinical experience in the hospital setting preferred; current NC pharmacist license required; Board Certification preferred. Excellent teamwork, communication, and teaching skills. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies. Knowledge of quality measures. Considerable skill in performing pharmacy procedures; Considerable ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members; Maintains active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
