WHAT YOU'LL DO: Provide effective customer service and support through in-depth knowledge of company products, programs, and services. Dispatch ready mix concrete in a timely and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Talk with customers by phone and enter data into computer system.
* Solicit future orders from customers and enter order into computer system.
* Negotiate with customers' acceptable delivery times to prevent lost orders.
* Document customer complaints and forward to Dispatch Manager and/or Sales Representative.
* Dispatch orders in a timely and efficient manner.
* Communicate with drivers and direct them to delivery locations.
* Work directly with surrounding areas to better service customers by utilizing multiple plants and look to share trucks.
* Ability to multitask and stay focused while dealing with various contractors, salespeople, dispatchers, and other personnel.
* Maintain effective working relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers. Promote and maintain the professional image and reputation of the company and ensure timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
* Other duties as assigned by the Dispatch Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

* High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED).
* Three to five years related customer service experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Basic computer skills for entering orders.
* Communicate in a positive and helpful manner with a variety of customers.
* Ability to read and understand maps.
* Required to be able to read, write, and speak English.
* Speaking Spanish is preferred.
* Basic math required - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
* Basic computer skills required.
