APN Healthcare Solutions is urgently hiring multiple Certified Surgical Techs for our client in Petaluma, CA for a 13 week contract with a high possibility of extension.

Position Title: CST
Pay Rate:$55-$60/hr
Work Location: Petaluma, CA
Shift /Hours/day:7am-3:30pm
Contract Duration:13 weeks
License Requirement: CST Certified
Certification Requirement: BLS

Job Description

Job Title: Certified Surgical Technician

Introduction: We are seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technician to join our dynamic surgical team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment, ensuring all necessary supplies are available, and setting up surgical instruments.
  2. Assist surgical team by passing instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
  3. Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
  4. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and proactively provide assistance as required.
  5. Handle specimens collected during surgery, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
  6. Monitor and maintain surgical equipment, including troubleshooting any issues that arise during procedures.
  7. Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  9. Assist with patient positioning and preparation before and after surgery.
  10. Participate in the training and orientation of new staff members as needed.
