The Department of Emergency Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a PART TIME Research Study Assistant (RSA). The Research Study Assistant will coordinate and perform work in support of clinical and health services research at Harborview Medical Center. Projects will cover a wide range of clinical pathways with a focus on out of hospital cardiac arrest, traumatic injuries, strokes, sepsis, and opioids. The research assistant will work in a team environment that includes faculty, fellows, medical students, and other key stakeholders.

Research Responsibilities

* Screen and appropriately enroll eligible subjects on various protocols.
* Assist with development and maintenance of research databases.
* Complete data entry for enrolled subjects.
* Process bio specimens per lab guidelines.
* Complete literature reviews relating to ongoing research.
* Perform related duties as required.

Administrative Responsibilities

* Schedule, coordinate, record, and distribute minutes for internal meetings with UW research collaborators.
* Prepare materials for meetings and workshops.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience OR equivalent education/experience.

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Well-honed organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
* Ability to work with colleagues in a way that enhances collaboration and team building.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related academic area.
* Prior healthcare experience.
* Proficiency in REDCap.

Must be willing to work weekends and evening shift.
