Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the nursing department.
  • Oversee the delivery of nursing services and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate patient care and achieve organizational goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and performance evaluation processes.
  • Conduct staff education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of nursing staff.
  • Handle administrative tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:
  • Current State RN license is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long-Term Care settings.
  • Preferred 2 years of management experience.
  • Preferred 1 year of staff education experience.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work flexible hours as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
