Join our team at the Anamosa State Penitentiary as a Correctional Security Manager

In this position you would serve the security department as a mentor and a leader to all of the security staff and incarcerated individuals. As a Security Manager you would need to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols to main safety and security of the institution, while protecting staff, community and incarcerated individuals. In this position you will directly supervisor the Correctional Supervisors, as well as recommending personnel actions related to selection, commendation, discipline and performance of the security department. In the role of a Security Manager you would engage with the Security Director to serve the security department as a whole to ensure all safety and security needs are met.

 Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:

* Two years of full-time work experience as a supervisor in a juvenile or adult community/institutional corrections or jail security program
* Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes two years of full-time work as a Correctional Supervisor.
