Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
?Use expertise in behavior analysis to collaborate with school-based teams in the creation of comprehensive and individualized plans that promote effective instruction in the least restrictive setting.
?Conduct FBAs (Functional Behavior Assessments), develop BIP (behavior intervention plans), define objective/measurable target behaviors and design appropriate data collection systems.
?Prepare and present reports as requested by special education/administrative personnel to reflect progress toward goals/objectives.
?Model intervention, instructional techniques and data collection procedures for direct service providers.
?In conjunction with the educational team, review and interpret data to monitor the effectiveness of the program(s).
?Provide crisis intervention, as needed, including but not limited to verbal discussion, processing with students and/or staff and the application of physical intervention using approved safety care methods.
?Train faculty, staff and/or family members on the implementation of the behavior support/instructional plan, including techniques to support students in the least restrictive environment.
?Conduct fidelity checks to ensure proper implementation of instructional and/or behavior support plan(s).
?Provide ongoing professional development as it relates to instruction and management of students with cognitive and/or social emotional learning needs.
?Participate in scheduled meetings with building personnel for plan development, progress review and/or data based decision making.
?Provide ongoing support, modeling and consultation to teachers, instructional assistants and related service providers.
?Upon request of the Administrator, work a flexible schedule to accommodate program/student needs before or after school hours.
?Adhere to the professional conduct and scope of practice as outlined in the BCBA Ethics code.
?Maintain clear lines of communication and professional boundaries, and implement supervisors feedback to improve professional practice.
?Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by the building administrator and/or Director of Student Services.
