Clinical Therapist- Play Therapy

About the Job

As part of the multidisciplinary team, this position provides clinical services to children receiving medical care within Hematology and Oncology at Children's Health. This position will be part of an established embedded psychology team and will focus on providing play therapy to patients within the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders on our Plano campus. Reasons for referral include concerns for anxiety, behavioral difficulties, and coping/adjustment. Providing services to young children (under 7 years of age) and their caregivers will be a particular area of focus for this position.

Some Highlighted Responsibilities

* Intervention with patients, caregivers, and families and consultation to multidisciplinary team members
* Clinical services will include play therapy and family intervention

Shift/Location: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Position based at our Plano location.

Required: At least 2 years of recent experience working with children and families
