Job Overview:

The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides therapeutic, supportive, and diagnostic respiratory services and care to all patients.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program
* Current New Jersey Respiratory Care License
* BLS Certification through American Heart Association
* Previous clinical & weaning protocol experience
* Reasonable knowledge of respiratory equipment function
* Patient assessment skills

Scheduling Requirements:

* Night Shift
* Part-Time
* 24 hours per week

Essential Functions:

* Assesses patients' pulmonary status
* Develops plan of care in collaboration with the physician and nurses
* Delivers respiratory care to patients
* Evaluates treatment and orders/confirms appropriateness and initiates treatments of MDI, HFN, CPT, Aerosol treatment
* Participates in monitoring patient care outcomes as established by targets/goals or Performance Improvement within services
* Performs other duties as requested
