Position Overview:
The person in this positive will provide helpful information, in a professional manner, to customers and visitors to the plant and over the phone. Supply excellent customer service to our customers and brokers, with attention to on time and complete deliveries. Attention to detail and excellent follow-through and decision-making skills. Responsibilities:
  • Always represent Lyons in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Interact with various internal department representatives to determine product
  • Availability and timely shipment of orders.
  • Work with Sales Managers and Broker Representative to meet customer
  • Order expectations.
  • Interact with transportation carriers to expedite customer deliveries.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Interact with forward warehouses to ensure complete and timely order fulfillment.
  • Provide superior customer service to "Key" Accounts.
  • Coordinate customer returns.
  • Expedite all rush orders as required.
  • Follow up on the status of pending open orders.
  • Process all field requests for samples, POS material, etc.
  • Review orders for correct pricing.
  • Work directly with production for product needs
  • Source orders from the most cost-effective location.
  • Work directly with the shipping department and transportation to coordinate orders
  • Answer heavy phone calls from Brokers, Salesmen, and Customers.
  • Provide appropriate Export Documentation as required.
  • Maintain Key Account data in a timely fashion.
  • Request Proof of Delivery notices as needed.
  • Maintain various Customer-required reports and or tracking sheets as required.
Skills Required
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word, and Email.
  • Ability to listen well, determine the issue at hand, and resolve said issue while minimizing emotions.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions.
  • Ability to interpret inventory data and make order-sourcing decisions.
  • Ability to work independently, under the General Supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor.
  • Ability to interact with, and support other members of the Customer Service department.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers from other departments, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain high work quality with limited supervision.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple work assignments.
  • Ability and motivation to maintain confidentiality regarding corporate and client information.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or 3 to 5 years related Customer Service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position will pay$20-22/hr. M-F 8:00a-5p

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $22.00
