Associate Manager, Hedge Fund Tax Accounting

What You Will Get To Do:

* Review tax workpapers.
* Responsible for meeting client deliverable due dates.
* Develops and implements solutions to partnership tax allocation issues within the framework of our proprietary software.
* Interacts with internal fund accounting staff on an as-needed basis to provide tax accounting guidance.
* Assists in the maintenance and testing of our software, workpapers and procedures by analyzing changes in tax and industry requirements and suggests improvements.
* Performs research of relevant tax laws, regulations and rulings to determine the proper tax treatment of issues.
* Analyzes company financial statements.
* Manage and mentor a team

What You Will Bring:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in taxation or accounting - CPA/MBA a plus.
* A solid understanding of the accounting & tax treatments applicable to a wide variety of publicly & privately traded domestic & foreign financial instruments including equities, debt, forwards, futures, options, swaps & derivatives.
* 8+ years of recent partnership tax accounting experience, preferably in the area of investment partnerships.
* 4+ years of supervisory experience
* An above-average proficiency in the use of MS Excel as well as a working knowledge of the entire MS Office product suite.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of client service.

Salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, business needs, and geographic regions.

NY: Salary range for the position: 100,000 USD to 125,000 USD. Other States Salary range for the position: 130,000 USD to 150,000 USD.
