The Biomedical Technician provides clinical equipment services under the close supervision of department management. Duties include, but are not limited to, inspections of clinical equipment for completeness, proper operation, mechanical and electrical safety. The individual also performs planned maintenance inspections, calibrations, repairs of general equipment, and minor repairs of complex equipment. The BMT assists other technicians in the troubleshooting and major repair of complex equipment. # # Job Requirements: Required:#Associates degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronics or equivalent training and experience required.# Education should include formal coursework covering basic anatomy/physiology, chemistry and medical terminology. At least 1 year work experience in clinical equipment services, preferably in a hospital environment. # Special Skills/Equipment: Working knowledge of electronics including solid-state technology, and both linear and digital integrated circuits operation. Some knowledge of the hazards, applicable safety standards, and performance requirements relating to biomedical instrumentation is required. Working knowledge of the operation, underlying physiological principles, and practical and safe use of patient-care equipment is required. Must have excellent interpersonal, and customer service skills. ## Hourly Rate Range $20.54 - $37.00 Based on verified education and experience
