We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Food Runner. As a key member of our hospitality crew, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of our buffet service during the evening lū'au event. Wages:
- Starting at $16/hour
Responsibilities:
- Buffet Management:
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the luau buffet before and after service hours.
- Ensure the buffet area is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing throughout the event.
- Food Presentation:
- Monitor food levels and replenish dishes as needed to maintain an attractive and inviting presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of food replenishments.
- Customer Interaction:
- Have a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Provide assistance and answer basic questions regarding the buffet offerings.
- Timing and Coordination:
- Work closely with the serving staff to ensure a smooth and coordinated dining experience for guests.
- Maintain awareness of guest flow to anticipate and address needs promptly.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation:
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold high hygiene standards.
- Keep serving stations clean and organized throughout the event.
Working Hours:
- The position is part-time, working from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM during events.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Experience, knowledge, and skills required:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
