General Job Function:

Medicaid Specialist must have demonstrated knowledge on what fee-for-service are reimbursable, billable units of service and how to process this information to generate funding as well as maintain all aspects of MSBS Program to include but not limited to:

* Monitor Random Moments Time Studies (Fairbanks)
* Administrative Claims (Fairbanks)
* Cost Settlement Report (Fairbanks)
* Ancillary Licensure to include applications (Portal)
* Manage Remittance Advice (Portal)
* Attend all Mandatory meetings and training (Portal)
* Set up new staff/contractors for Medicaid Billing (Maxcapture)
* Complete Process for Medicaid Individual Treatment Plan (Maxcapture)
* Medicaid Purchasing (Visions)
* Manage Medicaid Inventory
* Track 3 year re-evaluation process (Synergy)
* Track Annual IEPs (Synergy)
* Assist with State Reporting (STARs)
* Any additional assignments as determined by the Student Services Director

Education/Training/Experience:

Minimum Preferred:

* High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge/Skills and Abilities:

* Organizational Skills
* Time Management
* Written and verbal communication skills
* Knowledge of Synergy SIS and Synergy SE
* Understanding of IEP Service Page
* Must accept delegated responsibilities willingly
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* Able to work under occasional stress
* Computer skills to include (Microsoft Suite and Google Suite)

Resources Used in Performing Job Include (but are not limited to):

Standard office equipment and vehicle for district travel. A district car may be used or if the employee uses his/her own vehicle mileage reimbursement is available.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

Regularly required to walk, talk and listen. Frequently is required to stand and sit. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Light lifting at times.

Environmental Conditions:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Essential Job Functions:

* To generate Medicaid funding for the district that is utilized to support the health and wellness of all students attending Espanola Public Schools

* Begins and completes work within the allotted time.

* Protects the District's resources through appropriate and careful use of supplies and equipment.
* Utilizes appropriate body mechanics to aid in the prevention of muscle strain/injury.
