Job Summary: This position assists Physicians and/or Practitioners and the Practice Manager in a clinical and surgical operational setting while delivering legendary patient care. This job is not an 8-5 workday; staff is expected to stay until their physician is done seeing patients and the clinic is closed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assists doctor with the clinic's daily patient flow: Ensures patients are roomed promptly, reducing waiting times.
  2. Keeps clinic workflow moving, focusing on productivity and efficiency including ensuring the exam room is set up, supporting provider productivity, reviewing chief complaint with the patient before visit with the provider, and calling in medication to the pharmacy.
  3. Performs nursing tasks, demonstrating Clinical Competency, including but not limited to: administering medications correctly, setting up sterile field correctly, and performing equipment disinfection and sterilization correctly.
  4. Completes all required documentation accurately, promptly, and thoroughly by department standards.
  5. Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary care teams and support services including physicians, Medical Assistants, Patient Coordinators, and others.
  6. Reviews daily clinical and surgical schedules and can anticipate appropriately.
  7. Documents clinical and surgical chart notes appropriately and accurately.
  8. Ensures legendary patient care and patient service is provided at all times.
  9. Consistently follows Policies and Procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes.
  10. Attends to department meetings.
  11. Increases physician and or provider's overall patient retention.
  12. Ability to phone triage in a timely and appropriate manner.
  13. Assist in all aspects of a clinical and surgical environment.
  14. Sales: Responsible for generating new sales and maintaining the current client base.
  15. Patient re-activation calls; the goal is 20 calls per day.
  16. Other Duties: Complete projects perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the Practice Manager.


Qualifications

Education:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Certified Licensed Vocational Nurse

Qualifications:
  • 2+ yrs. of Dermatology/Cosmetic back office medical experience.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory issues about group practice.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
