Fire Sprinkler Fitter

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Cen Cal Fire Systems, a division of Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to provide installation services of all forms of fire sprinkler systems and components. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of NFPA-based fire sprinkler systems. The ability to problem-solve and communicate effectively with the Designer, Project Manager, and General Contractor is an integral part of this position.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well)

* Read and interpret blueprints and be able to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Installation of new, retrofits, and tenant improvement type projects.
* Cut, thread, and groove pipe to trade specifications.
* Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other field installers and helpers.
* Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

* Four years of experience in field installation of fire sprinkler systems.
* CalFire Fire Sprinkler Fitter Certification card is required.
* Knowledge of NFPA 13.
* Knowledge of NFPA 20 AND 24 are a plus but not required.
* Provide quality craftmanship.
* Ability to read fire system design drawings.
* Ability to use trade appropriate tools to perform daily pipe fitting duties efficiently and safely.
* Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.

SALARY RANGE: $37.00 - $47.00
