Job Description:

Afterschool Program Director

The Willington Public Schools seeks an Afterschool Program Director. The director will plan and implement quality programming for youth, designing and carrying out curriculum, including but not limited to physical activities, STEAM activities, crafts, literacy enrichment, social-emotional learning, and special events. Successful applicants will possess the following skills:

* Ability to motivate youth, create positive relationships, and employ positive behavior guidance techniques.
* Provide a caring, comfortable, physically and emotionally safe environment.
* Manage a small group of program staff to ensure they are following program policy and procedures to provide quality care.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or higher, and at least 3 years of prior experience working with youth (ages 4-13). Candidates must possess CPR/first aid certification or be eligible for training. Applicants must pass a background check.

The Afterschool Program Director's work schedule follows the school calendar, working approximately 2:00-6:00 pm Monday through Friday on school days. A competitive hourly rate will be provided.
