Expected pay for this position is $26.94-$32.33. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Surgical Technologist provides care for patients across the life span based on physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety, appropriate to the age of the person. Primarily performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the RN, Charge Nurse, Anesthesia provider and/or the physician of the patient's condition. Adheres to a high standard of patient safety principles and aseptic and sterile techniques. Follows and understands the standards and recommended practices according to the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) and Association of Surgical Technologist. (AST).
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
* Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or a minimum of two years surgical scrubbing experience
License/Certifications:
* American Heart Association CPR (BLS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Certification in Surgical Technology
