ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Transport finished goods and raw materials over land via a 24 ft box truck and/or cargo van. Deliveries made to and from manufacturing plants, suppliers, service organizations or customers.
* Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform or schedule preventative maintenance in conjunction with MK and associates.
* Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
* Document and log work/rest periods, log miles spent driving and, retain fuel/toll receipts
* Load and unload Trucks
* Comply with CDL truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
* Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
* Collect and verify delivery instructions
* Report defects, accidents or violations
* Assist with transportation of the product within the facility.
* Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers and suppliers.
* Other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

* Proven work experience as a truck driver
* Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
* Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
* No recent moving or driving violations
* Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
* Can Pass a DOT physical
* Valid CDL Class A driving license
* Being self-motivated
* Having good communication and interpersonal skills
* Being able to work independently

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School diploma or equivalent is required
* Minimum of 2 years driving class 8 trucks is required
* CDL class A license is required
