Pharmacist Intern

This is a non-merit Internship position with the Iowa Veterans' Home.

Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

The Iowa Veterans Home is looking for an enthusiastic Doctorate of Pharmacy Student. 

The hourly pay will be $17.95-$26.23.

Non-clinical Duties include:

* Entering refills, package and deliver medications to the residents under the direction of a pharmacist - Ordering, inventorying, crediting, answering the window and phone, communicating with staff and residents are daily essential functions.
* Filling med-stations

Clinical Duties Include:

* Admission medication reconciliation
* Antibiotic Stewardship reviews
* Hospice reviews

Must be a Registered Pharmacist-Intern in the State of Iowa

All applicants are subject to a Criminal Background Check Dependent Adult Abuse and Child Abuse Check. Applicants for positions in this class must be currently enrolled students in a degree program at an accredited educational institution, as determined by the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.
