TITLE: Section 504/ADHD Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Current Teaching Certificate
  2. Minimum of Five (5) Years Teaching Experience Preferred
  3. Knowledge of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504) Law
  4. Knowledge of ADHD Characteristics
  5. Experience as a school-based Section 504 Manager/Contact Preferred
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Programs for Exceptional Children

JOB GOAL: To assess, plan, implement, and coordinate services for eligible 504 students and students with ADHD

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinates and facilitates Section 504 processes and meetings, provides consultation to stakeholders, and is responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of Section 504 records and data.
2. Work with district staff, parents, physicians, and others as needed to ensure students' needs are met
3. Provide in-service training for school staff/parents as needed
4. To assist the district to remain in compliance with legal issues concerning ADHD/504 students
5. Keep abreast of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 504 changes
6. Assist with the SIRT referral process
7. Other duties as assigned by the director

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 225 Days Contract
Salary to be according to the current schedule for days of employment.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel
