Post-Doc Research Associate

The Postdoctoral Research Associates report to the Principal Investigator and performs research duties for the Army Corps of Engineer's ERDC "VR for Smart Installation Experimentation and Security Analysis" project in the Tandy School of Computer Science and College of Engineering and Natural Sciences.

Characteristic Duties:

Support investigators' research needs as they arise with respect to software, hardware, and technology experimentation, integration, and interoperability concerns on the project. Produce written reports, make presentations, contribute to scholarly works and mentor/supervise students and employees.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work under limited supervision; the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; demonstrated effectiveness in working with a variety of administrative levels and diverse groups of people located both internally and externally to the institution.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum: PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work under limited supervision; the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines; demonstrated effectiveness in working with a variety of administrative levels and diverse groups of people located both internally and externally to the institution.

Preferred: Previous experience as a researcher in an academic setting. Familiarity and/or proficiency with sensor technologies, VR/AR platforms, AI/ML solutions and/or networking infrastructure.
