FLSmidth is searching for a Project Controller / Scheduler in the Crushing Stations & Conveying group, who will be supporting the execution of projects for the project life cycle.

Your responsibilities

* Setup of project cost accounts in Oracle according to the cost estimate after contract award including its maintenance.
* Tracking and reporting of contract costs against detailed contract budgets; prepare cost reports and schedules for project manager and management.
* Review and understand project cost estimates.
* Understand certain scope and contractual terms & conditions for a particular project and ensure alignment with client project controls requirements.
* Assist with interactive planning sessions, working with project teams and disciplines and project closeouts.
* Update / analyze project progress at defined intervals, collaborating with disciplines.
* Inform the Manager, Project Management of any cost, drivers, and variances, as apparent.
* Review engineering hours and deliverables, utilizing earned value analysis to assess progress and forecast hours and costs.
* Review and analyze project changes and trends, following change management procedures. Inform project team with costs, schedule, WBS, hours detail as necessary.
* Provide continuous project reporting with accurate and timely information that includes budget, commitments, forecast, variances, change management, progress, KPIs, risk & opportunity, contingency, cash flow and resource planning. Ensure appropriate WBS coding by all project team members.
* Align with Financing regarding chart of accounts, project numbers, cost coding, cost systems interface, labor hours & rates, and other cost related issues.
* Align with Procurement regarding material & contract requirements, expediting and systems interface.
* Provide continuous improvement to identify cost effective methods and strategies for accomplishing project goals.

* Support Project Management regarding project specific strategies for schedule preparation, maintenance and management.
* Ensure alignment with client schedule requirements, including schedule format, reporting, level of detail, timing, and other schedule deliverables.
* Produce comprehensive project schedules supporting all project phases with appropriate activities, logic, resources and deliverables.
* Provide critical analysis and problem solving related to project and program schedules.
* Compile logic driven schedules in P6 utilizing critical path methodologies.
* Ensure thorough understanding of project scope as integrated into the schedule logic with appropriate links to other interrelated project schedules.
* Lead and facilitate interactive planning sessions working with project teams and disciplines.

* Understand industry specific dependencies to be reflected in the integrated project schedule.
* Compile milestone tracking reports to provide early indicators of the project's ability to meet specific goals.
