Summary of Position

Lionsgate Television is seeking an Assistant to support attorneys in Television Legal Affairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the business side of television.

Responsibilities

* Track deal contract negotiations, maintain status reports, maintain Legal Affairs department files, and support department operations.
* Handle administrative responsibilities for attorneys, including distributing contracts, answering phones, rolling calls, scheduling meetings, booking travel, and processing expenses.
* Regularly draft correspondence and contract forms, ensuring all stakeholder requests (Internal Business Affairs, Production, and other departments, and External Partners etc.), are addressed.
* Research historical deal terms to identify precedent.

Qualifications and Skills

* 1 year of assistant experience preferred, ideally having supported a legal organization
* Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience preferred
* Candidate should have the ability to multi-task in an occasionally high pressure environment
* Possess strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills
* Proficient at MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Should have a strong interest in the business side of television

Lionsgate Television is one of the foremost third-party suppliers of premium scripted series to streaming, broadcast and cable platforms alike while also serving as a prolific supplier of premium content to Starz.
