Job Duties:

Primary responsibility is infection control

Maintain sterile technique. Perform all duties according to procedure

Cleans, sterilizes, packages and assembles instrument sets.

Assist in care and handling of equipment. i.e., suction, fracture frames, pumps, venodyne, etc.

Responsible for cleaning reusable items including surgical pieces and processing through steam sterilizers, gas sterilizers, washer sterilizers, and ultrasonic if necessary.

Responsible for waste disposal and decontamination of contaminated items. Inspects equipment and instruments through all procedural steps for condition and operation

Collects soiled instruments, kits, equipment, etc. for processing. Responsible for daily maintenance and housekeeping duties on work stations as required

Demonstrates planning and organization in preparation for procedures in a Central Sterile environment, i.e., trays, instruments sets

Demonstrates a working knowledge in the following areas in a surgical preparation environment: vascular, ophthalmic, laparoscopic, orthopedic, O.B./Gynecology, General, Urology, Dental, E.N.T., neuro and plastic

Demonstrates knowledge the function and operation of equipment in a Central Sterile environment.

Job Requirements:

Experience: 1+ year of sterile processing experience required

Requirements: CRCST

License/Certification: BLS

Additional Info:

Shifts: Evenings.

8 hours shifts.

Certification: Basic Life Support
