At The Crossroads Center, we are a beacon of hope, guiding individuals toward brighter futures. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be an essential part of our 24/7 residential unit, providing vital care and support to our clients during their most crucial times.

Shift: 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM or 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Work Schedule: 3 days a week, rotating weekends and holidays
Training Schedule for night shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, 5 days a week

As a Behavioral Health Technician, You Will:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
  • Monitor and document client behaviors with precision and accuracy.
  • Plan and lead therapeutic recreation activities for groups.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff on special projects.
  • Conduct individual and group activities.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with clients and the treatment team.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and patient information.
  • Maintain a compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
  • Observe, document, and report patient behavior to the appropriate clinician.
  • Monitor patient activities and behaviors, promptly reporting any changes to the assigned nurse.
  • Provide crisis intervention and employ supportive communication techniques.

What You Will Bring:
  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences is highly desirable.
  • CDCA certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, knowledge of DSM IV diagnoses, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to perform tasks such as sitting, walking, balancing, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
