SALARY INFORMATION:
  • $41.13 - $45.32 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range

BASIC FUNCTION: The Audiologist will provide diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitative audiological services to patients of all ages, working closely with our onsite Otolaryngologist. They will administer and interpret a variety of audiological tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops/evaluates a treatment plan, and establishes goals for each patient.
  • Monitors progress of recommendations and treatment plans and reassesses as appropriate.
  • Calibrates equipment, prepares related reports, and maintains the audiological suite, materials, and supplies.
  • Communicates with patient and family and provides counseling when appropriate.
  • Provides case management services and makes client referrals to other social or health service agencies.
  • Writes evaluation reports and daily progress notes on a timely basis.
  • Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge in field of audiology.
  • Prepares and presents in-service education to staff and the community.
  • Assists in implementing and monitoring the department's quality assurance program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Doctorate from an accredited audiology program or Masters from an accredited audiology program.
  • Certified or certification eligible by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Must have current BLS card within 3 months of initial employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as an Audiologist working with primary care or internal medicine.
