Provide optimum assistance to the Anesthesiologist/Anesthetist through proper maintenance of equipment and supply of materials and anesthetics.
Responsibilities
• Properly maintain, repair, and set up all anesthesia equipment and clean small equipment - laryngoscopes, etc. • Order supplies, noncontrolled drugs, and materials for the department in a timely manner. Maintain drug par levels and stock drugs in anesthesia carts. • Perform minor maintenance and repair on equipment. • Pick up and deliver departmental mail as needed. • Assist Anesthesia personnel in transporting equipment and patients. • Prepare charts for scheduled surgeries. • Pick up add-on schedules and schedule changes. • Perform daily cleaning of assigned anesthesia machines and bi-monthly deep cleaning. • Defrosts drug refrigerator. • Check in blood for all surgeries as required. • Serve on the call list for the area's Disaster Plan.

Maintain and document all applicable required education.2. Demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations.3. Comply with the company's attendance policy.4. Perform work in accordance with all departmental pay practices and scheduling policies, including but not limited to, overtime, various shift work, and on-call situations.7. Perform work in alignment with the overall mission and strategic plan of the organization.8. Follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures, as applicable.9. Perform related duties as assigned.
