Responsibilities

What You'll Do

* Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits.
* Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction
* Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay
* Evaluate and record images for technical quality
* Process computerized image data to include function curves and reconstructed SPECT images
* Maintain inventory of supplies assigned to the area; prepare and maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities
* Perform required QA/QC functions, including monitoring the Nuclear Medicine Department with a portable Geiger Counter for possible contamination
* Perform nuclear cardiology studies including image acquisition and processing and monitoring patient vital signs

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

* Graduate of an accredited two-year radiologic technology program with advanced training and certification in Nuclear Medicine
* ARRT (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
* BLS certification
* Competency in compounds of Nuclear Medicine practice
