Our team of practitioners works closely with each patient to create and implement a detailed, humanistic treatment plan that considers all aspects of a patient’s condition, to reach one goal- improving our patient’s quality of life by helping them achieve functional independence. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.  The position is responsible for organizing medical records in Dropbox; conducting pre-exam interviews; initial report drafting; editing final reports; and record review.

Located in Sacramento, this esteemed physical medicine and rehabilitation practice is strategically building on its long-standing reputation for excellence by seeking to find an experienced Medical Scribe-Per Diem to support the business for continued growth in terms of patient volume and geographic coverage.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented “Remote” Medical Scribe Per Diem. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for accurately documenting patient encounters and assisting the MD with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, work efficiently, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology.

Salary
  • Non-Exempt, Per Diem
  • $18-$20 per hour based on experience
Schedule
  • Remote
  • 10-15 hours per week
Responsibilities
  • Scribe and edit medical reports
  • Document patient encounters in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
  • Initial report drafting, edit final reports, and manage record review
  • Organize medical records in Dropbox
  • Conduct pre-exam intake interviews
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Assist the MD with administrative tasks
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and team members
  • Other duties as assigned
Travel
  • Periodic travel to satellite clinics including San Diego, Stockton, Fresno, Reno, and Palmdale may be required. Time and travel will be compensated. TBD

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification in CPR/Basic Life Support
  • Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong medical terminology knowledge
  • Bilingual: Spanish/English (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently
  • Maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality
  • Manage and prioritize workload to consistently meet deadlines
  • Must be open to occasional travel
