Job Description
EEG Technologists perform EEGs and assist Neurologist and Neuro Technologists with performance of EMGs, clinic visits and other clinical aspects of the department.

Department: Neurology

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Requirements: Must be a registered EEG Tech

Pay based on applicable experience; starting at $19.61

Responsibilities
Assists Neurologist with clinic visits by obtaining vital signs, taking patient history, etc. , Assists Neuro Tech with NCV's and other clinical aspects of the department., Demonstrates working knowledge of neurology and electroencephalogy., Explains testing procedures for EEG to patient and family., Keeps equipment clean and in proper working order. Makes appropriate adjustments to settings, etc. to obtain accurate results. , Obtains accurate and concise patient histories., Prepares patients and equipment for requested examinations and performs EEGs according to standards of the laboratory, resulting in high quality EEG exams., Produces accurate and complete EEG reports with emphasis on clinical observations., Recognizes, monitors and/or eliminates artifacts and performs routine activation procedures such as hyperventilation., Responds appropriately to patient emergencies and takes appropriate precautions to prevent patient infections., Understands the effects that medications can have on EEG's., Verifies MD orders by checking written order & verifies patient ID.

Requirements:
High School (Required)
