Certified Nursing Assistant

Variety of shifts available - mostly 7-3pm and 3-8pm. Must be willing to work weekend shifts as well. Willing to look at applicants for either part-time or full-time hours.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold high quality CNA services that meet and exceed resident expectations
- Maintain commitment to excellence in carrying out nurse aide/household responsibilities.
- Maintain focus on resident directed care.
- Participate in daily resident review with staff nurse and aide prior to and at end of shift.
- Manage caseload as assigned.
- Make continuous rounds to identify and meet residents' care needs.
- Assist with transfers and positioning.
- Perform daily exercise, range of motion and ambulation as instructed.
- Observe and report change in resident's physical or psychological well-being, and skin condition to nurse.
- Use EMR to document all care given. Ensure all tasks are complete by end of shift.
- Review programming calendar with residents and encourage attendance.
- Assist and participate in programs with residents.
- Transport Residents to/from appointments and programs.
- Assist Residents with activities of daily living, meal service, housekeeping and laundry.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of resident living unit, common spaces and kitchen & dining areas daily.
- Report all grievances and complaints made by the resident to nurse.
- Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift that they occur to nurse.
- Knock and wait for resident's response before entering resident room/unit.
- Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to ensure the protection of resident rights.
- Other related duties as assigned
- Cue medication to residents on assignment. (Andover only)
- Perform resident check-ins per assignment. (Andover only)
Qualifications:
- Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Prior experience working in a nursing home or home health agency preferred.
