Position Summary:
University Aide Administrative Assistant, Disability Resource Center (DRC)
Rate of pay: $23.96/hour
Schedule of role: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Length of role's duration: 2 to 5 months; start date as soon as possible
Prefer candidates able to work 40/hours/week, but open to candidates who are looking for between 20 and 39 hours/week.
Job Duties:
Coordinating, scheduling, training, and supervision of student front desk staff of the DRC in their daily duties.
* Overseeing the customer service quality of the daily interactions with students, instructors, and other stakeholders who interact with the DRC via the front desk operations.
* Overseeing and managing the Accommodated Testing Program at the DRC, including test management in the Accessible Information Management (AIM) online system.
* Communicating with faculty about accommodated exams and providing support when needed.
* Overseeing and managing the DRC facility and equipment (i.e., tracking and ordering office supplies, mail distribution, submitting maintenance tickets).
* Monitoring, managing, and responding to students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders within the general DRC Inbox.
* Inputting DRC student information into the DRC specific Banner form to ensure Banner data feeds student course information into AIM.
* General management of the AIM online student database.
* Providing general office support and training to new staff in the DRC.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of experience providing administrative support in an office setting.
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to effectively engage and support students with a variety of marginalized identities.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience providing supervision to others.
Experience providing administrative support in an office setting in higher education
Experience working in a testing center
Experience working in an office that provides support to people with disabilities
