Responsibilities

* Demonstrate the ability to perform assistive duties in the L&D area under the direction of the RN
* Responsible for the preparation, disbursement of surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation pre-, intra-, and post-operatively
* Demonstrate knowledge of principles of asepsis
* Assume responsibility for clinical competence and professional development
* Demonstrate knowledge of the Infant Security Plan
* Transports stable newborn via crib within the Woman's and Children's departments
* Participate in the responsible management of all departmental resources

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

* High School diploma or equivalent
* Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician course or equivalent
* Current BLS certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

* Certified Surgical Technologist preferred but will consider LPN with 1-2 experience in a similar position
* One year of operating room experience
