As a Radiology Tech at Lower Keys Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

* An associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T.
* Current Florida General Radiographer license required.
* BLS certification required.
* Have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
* Also 2 years of experience is preferred.

What Does a Radiologic Technologist I do? As a Radiologic Technologist I with Lower Keys Medical Center, you will be responsible for…

* Arranging patients for radiological examinations.
* Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.
* Prevent patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
* Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. You will work under immediate supervision.
* A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
* Typically this position reports to a chief technologist or manager.

Lower Keys Medical Center (LKMC) is a 167 bed, full service, Joint Commission accredited, outstanding, acute care medical facility with a 24/7 emergency room, 24/7 laboratory, 24/7 radiology services, and 24/7 specially equipped medical transport helicopter. LKMC is also proud to be the only hospital in the Florida Keys that offers labor and delivery services. We also offer physical therapy in Key West using a multi-joint strength system, in addition to other innovative systems and equipment for customized rehabilitation.
