Duties and Responsibilities

* Performs preventative maintenance inspections and basic repairs on main engines, auxiliary and standby equipment, etc. Disassembles and assembles equipment, replaces, adjusts, cleans and lubricates all types of compressor station and underground storage equipment.
* Assists with the installation, removal, repair, and calibration of cathodic protection equipment on Company pipelines.
* Takes routine cathodic protection reads and assists troubleshooting.
* Performs scheduled and routine inspection and basic maintenance on equipment such as gas engines, turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, boilers, and auxiliary equipment in a compressor station.
* Assists in starting and operating station equipment. Identifies and responds to unusual and unsafe conditions such as leaking, defective, or overheated equipment.
* Sweeps, cleans, rakes, paints, cut weeds, etc., around all types of facilities.
* Inspects, maintains, and operates fire suppression equipment.
* On some assignments, takes well pressure and storage tank gauge readings, changes charts.
* Installs and performs basic maintenance on various types of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment of devices such as: meters, regulators, actuators, filters, gauges, valves, recording gauges and charts.
* Assists with instrumentation installations and repairs. Installs piping and tubing for various instruments.
* Understands basic principles of odorizers.
* Inspects, maintains emergency equipment such as Nomex coveralls, respirators, etc.
* Performs basic computer operations.
* Starts, stops, operates, inspects, maintains, and performs basic repairs on compressor station and underground storage equipment in accordance with established operating and maintenance procedures.
* Detects unusual conditions such as leaks, damage or defective equipment, unsafe conditions, etc., reports findings to maintenance personnel or takes corrective action to repair.
* On some assignments, conducts water analysis test on open and closed water systems. Add chemicals to maintain corrosion control and proper pH balance in accordance with established instructions.
* On some assignments, operates dehydration facilities, glycol systems, oil production and stabilization systems.
* Monitors and records facility performance data, takes action based on data.
* Operates and maintains valves, monitors gauges and charts, records operating data in daily logs, adjusts and repairs equipment.
* Performs preventative maintenance inspections and basic repairs on main engines, auxiliary and standby equipment, etc. Disassembles and assembles equipment, replaces, adjusts, cleans and lubricates all types of compressor station and underground storage equipment.
* Performs leakage tests involving liquids, gases, and oil within facilities. Prepares reports of tests results.
* Assists Specialists with various advanced operations, maintenance repair, and performance evaluation activities.

Frequent contacts include: Employees and managers throughout Transmission and Storage, third-party excavators, gas producers, customers, municipal agencies, and other personnel concerning pipeline locations, Company requirements for protection of facilities, and unsafe conditions. Frequently

contacts contractors, suppliers, and vendors. Able to communicate clearly. Must effectively contact customers.
