REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Classified Substitute

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Demonstrated ability in working with youth in both formal and informal situations
2.Ability to communicate orally and written
3.Education at the level of high school graduation or beyond
4.Successful work experience
5.Able to obtain minimum of Student Monitor Permit from the Ohio Department of Education

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

This job involves supervision of pupils in non-teaching, non-classroom situations.

GENERAL DUTIES:

Work involves responsibility for assisting in the supervision of students. The employee would have the responsibility for keeping proper order and for referring infractions of regulations to the Bus Driver and Transportation Supervisor. Work is performed according to standards and directions developed by the Transportation Department. In addition to this supervision, the work may include any other non-professional duties which require adult supervision.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Supervises students on school buses
2.Supervises the conduct of pupils and refers infractions of regulations to the Bus Driver and Transportation Supervisor
3.Supervises school buses and makes determination that all persons are authorized to be there
4.Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Bus Driver and/or Transportation Supervisor
