Dental Receptionist Lead

The Dental Receptionist Lead is responsible to work collaboratively with providers and support staff within the department. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and will act as first front-line support for Dental Receptionists (DR). They must be able to communicate with Dental Assistants and Dental Assistants II in order to maintain efficiency during patient care. Support includes but is not limited to answering questions, prioritizing tasks, and working with the supervisor and/or manager to ensure timely work completion. The Dental Receptionist Lead also has the responsibility to train and teach all new and existing Dental Receptionists in the clinic. The person in this position will be responsible for the daily operations of the front office in the absence of the Dental Team Office Manager. This position requires the ability to identify problems, coordinate solutions and see it through to completion.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. High School Diploma required
2. Minimum 2 year dental and or medical front office experience in a multi-provider practice preferred
3. 1 year of leadership experience or progressively increasing responsibilities that demonstrate step learning acquisition, ability to work with limited supervision and teaching skills required
4. Proficient in the following computer skills: word processing, entering data onto and sorting data in spreadsheets, navigating through the internet, email and experience with electronic dental records
5. Current BCLS certification and biannual maintenance required
