Requirements:

* An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
* High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
* Four+ years of manufacturing experience,
* Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or industrial skills
* Some experience with PLC, welding, cutting tools, and/or HVAC preferred
* Demonstrated skills in training, coaching and leading others in a group setting.
* Willingness to continue to develop self and maintain knowledge in the field.

About the Role:

The Maintenance Coordinator must utilize enthusiastic leadership abilities to form and sustain self-directed production teams. This position works closely with the Maintenance Manager and Supervisor to achieve defined departmental goals of Safety, Quality, Cost Deliver, and solid work teams.

Your Responsibilities:

* Provide enthusiastic leadership to form and sustain self-directed maintenance teams.
* Complete daily start-up procedures and assign team members daily responsibilities based on scheduled needs and maintain daily attendance records.
* Schedules, delegates, and decides which mechanic will perform which task and the best way to accomplish it
* Responsible for overseeing general workflow and associates, in an assigned area.
* Performs maintenance to equipment and facilities in assigned areas.
* Obtains parts and supplies
* Reports to supervisors both orally and written.
* Ensure all team members have enough information to perform effectively. Complete Five-Minute Meetings.
* Objectively evaluate employee performance, communicate expectations, and provide employee assistance. When needed request retraining from company trainers.
* Requests assistance from Supervisor, in conjunction with Human Resources, when corrective action plan for poor performers or behavior is needed.
* Ensures quality of work is maintained in keeping with safety, quality standards, costs, and schedules and communicates any concerns to Supervisor.
* Provide daily reports of project results and logs of work performed.
* Accurately assesses problems, makes recommendations to improve productivity, solutions to issues affecting quality, and health and safety.
* Foster a sense of community and respect among production team members, motivate the production team in achieving objectives.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

* Requires minimum of 9-10 hours standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, with a full range of body mechanics/movements
* Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of stairs and climbing in and out of trucks or working in tight spaces.
* Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE)

Working Conditions and Environment:

The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals, which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking. Fast paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles running at all times.
