Job Summary:
Mission Health is seeking a geriatric/adult psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team, located in Asheville, North Carolina.
Qualified Candidates:
* Board certified or board eligible
* Experience with common co-occurring conditions such as trauma spectrum, eating disorders, and substance use disorders
* Willing to work in inpatient setting
* Provide Collaborative Care Management (CoCM) consultation with employed primary care integrated clinicians
* Please note that this position does not offer visa support

About Mission Health's Behavioral Health Services:
* 120-bed freestanding psychiatric hospital, Sweeten Creek, which opened in 2023
* 23-bed emergency department psychiatric evaluation area and 10-bed behavioral health pod in the new Mission Hospital emergency department
* Consultation on the pediatrics service and in the emergency department
* Active ECT program
* Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new residency training program through MAHEC, with academic appointment possible
